HEROS FOR LITERACY
​Heroes for Literacy (H4L) is an initiative where community members dedicate 1.5 hours each week to tutor children in reading. H4L is a volunteer experience open to individuals, companies, churches, and civic groups, that allows you to become an everyday hero in the literacy development of a child.

POWER OF THE PURSE
Power of the Purse is Black River United Way’s Signature Women’s Luncheon Fundraiser supporting Youth Opportunity in Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties. Featuring Special Keynote Speaker Dr. Katrina Hutchins, a Silent Purse Auction, and a Women in Business Panel, Power of the Purse is a day for women changemakers to unite and show what can be accomplished when we work together.
PICKLE FOR PROGRESS
Pickle For Progress is Black River United Way's pickleball tournament, festival, and fundraiser. This event combines fun, camaraderie, and wellness associated with the sport of pickleball to raise support for Black River United Way's mission and two main initiatives - early childhood success and disaster resiliency.
