What's Growing On?

June 10 - July 11, 2019

Summer S.A.I.L. (Science and Inquiry Learning) is a 4-week summer enrichment program that aims to prevent the “summer slide” and increase literacy rates in Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties. The program started in 2014 at Sampit Elementary.

This past summer S.A.I.L. was located at Sampit Elementary, McDonald Elementary and Pleasant Hill Elementary and the curriculum was also used by Teach My People and MK, Inc. The 4 week academic rich program works with almost 90 children from 8-12 Monday through Thursday.

The curriculum, written by our local teachers, is shared with all non-profit and school summer programs working with K-3 graders.
